The Home Depot, the world's largest home improvement retailer, successfully purchased the Home Way in China at the end of 2006. Now, The Home Depot has 12 stores in Beijing, Tianjin, Xi'an, Qingdao, Shenyang, Zhengzhou and two 'store support centres' in Beijing and Tianjin.

At the end of 2004, The Home Depot introduced an Asia Sourcing Operations Office in China with four regional offices in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Dalian and India respectively.
2004年底，为了进一步研究、分析亚洲家装建材市场，家得宝在中国设立了业务发展办公室。目前，此业务发展办公室分别设立在上海、深圳、大连和印度。
After a series of investments in the integration and the transformation of our retail stores, The Home Depot re-launched on August 26th, 2007. In our retail operations, we have approximately 2500 associates dedicated to providing excellent customer service.
